The youth of today have pretty admirable ideals and really want to see their city, country and the world become a better place. But between traveling, overtime at work, catching up with friends and a few seconds here and there for precious sleep, giving back to society just keeps slipping off their list of priorities. And with so much intervention needed the question is, where to begin, how to begin, and most importantly how can they use their personal skills to help empower the less fortunate effectively?
Navya is an endeavour by Khushii** to give the youth an opportunity to give back to the society by:

• EDUCATING them about the issues affecting the less fortunate
• BUILDING their capability to promote social cause participation & service
• ENABLING them to share effective practices and methods of civic engagement
• MOBILIZING them to meet the needs of the society through volunteering
• NETWORKING with likeminded people

Navya is a platform for the youth to learn, discuss and implement the ideas of an India where all are empowered. Navya will be an opportunity for those not in full time social work to come together and optimize their skills to effectively help the underprivileged. With their experience and some spare time, there will be many projects which the Navya members can get involved in to help make the community and its vulnerable members stronger and happier.
Khushii will facilitate this by providing links between the non-profit sector and a network of socially-conscious people rapidly rising through the ranks of the business, science and arts communities. Navya is a non-partisan, secular group and welcomes anyone with the ideas and energy to help increase the efficiency of non-profit organizations or help make fundraising events and volunteer drives a success.
Navya is a self sustaining group funded by the goodwill and the drive of its members: young professionals who want to help foster a culture of compassion among their peers, meet some amazing people and have fun doing it.

*Membership to Navya is by invitation only and will be renewable annually. Navya will be a voluntary, self-governing body responsible for the conduct of its members and also for raising funds, in case any are required for its activities.
