No one can stem the tide of youth, for old age catches up with everyone. It is a global phenomena and one that needs to be addressed. The aspects of elderly care gathers greater significance in the light of the fact that families are becoming nuclear and want to stay that way. Hence this is not only a private concern but also a public one where the state or social institutions come into play.

As an NGO with a conscience we feel that it is our moral and social responsibility to provide love, care and affection that the elderly deserve and also invoke in others the same feeling. Underprivileged are not only those who are below the poverty line but also those who are approaching it having not planned their savings keeping in mind future requirements.

Mannat targets for February 2008….

• Initiate welfare programs for senior citizens through day care centers ensuring their health, recreational, economic and other basic needs are met.
  
  
• Begin construction of old age home for the needy elderly. Land for the same has been procured.
