Problem to be Addressed
Through repeated trials, it was recognized that the most important areas to focus on to bring about an overall economic upliftment in the lives of the impoverished sections of the society, can only happen through education and vocational support given to them, which unfailingly with time will enhance the individuals abilities to make something substantial of themselves, and earn the dignity they deserve in society. Something that is commonly termed as Community Development
Remedial education via our principal projects Shikshaantra and Shikshaantra+ became important to us because of the identification that one of the major ills to progression happen to be the unintentional loopholes in the government education systems, the Government is tirelessly trying to do the massive work of Right to Education for all. Repeated surveys have revealed areas that severely require help this includes, low learning outcome, dismal teacher-student ratios, rigid and monotonous teaching-learning methodology and unaddressed poor understanding of basic concepts in students since the primary sections. The low economic background of most of the children, with parents who are most daily wage earners, wipes out their minute chances of continuing education under such adverse conditions. It often becomes more lucrative for them to leave education and take up some form of earning that will bring home some more bread.
The situation only propels reduction in spreading education, decline in progression, and feeds into social injustice and threat to human rights.
