“There is no exercise better for the heart than reaching down and lifting people up.”
There is no joy as good as the joy of giving. There is nothing as precious as the smile of a child. There are millions of children in India who are deprived of the basic rights of education, food, healthcare, clothing and other resources for a proper living. The poverty ridden Indian society can hardly ensure those rights for each and every child. For this reason many children cannot follow the track of a normal life and many of them die before coming to the maturity. Malnutrition, diseases, lack of immunity are all brought to them by poverty and they follow the life of a child labour in most of the cases. India is a hub of record number of child labour engaged in various risky and unsuitable workplaces. According to UNICEF, 10.1 million children (4.5 million girls and 5.6 million boys), between the age of five to fourteen, are presently engaged as child labours in India. As an outcome of several initiatives taken by the government, children are not engaged in the workplaces located in prime areas; they are now engaged in the factories of backward areas or in the homes of the rich people. Child labour is also one of the vital reasons for the growing number of dropouts throughout the government schools in India. NGOs in India are working for giving back the childhood to these unfortunate children through providing them education and financial support. The best way for the sensitive people to reduce the pain of these children is to sponsor a child to those NGOs.
Khushii is an NGO with national presence working with various children’s charities and education charities to bring the poor children into the mainstream of education. Khushii is initiating quality formal education and remedial education for poor children throughout India independently as well as with the government running primary schools. Children from the unprivileged and the underprivileged parentages get education, stationary, technical support, health services, nutritious foods, counselling, motivational training for social works and financial support for further employment at Khushii. You can also be a part of this noble mission with your donation. You can sponsor a child into our NGO and get tax benefit under 80G. You can sponsor a child at Shikshaantra scheme and Shikshaantra+ scheme at an amount of Rs 12000/annually and Rs 2400/ annually respectively for a single child.
