Gayatri, a 26-year-old woman, lives with her husband and two children in Janta Vihar, Mukundpur. Due to financial constraints, her parents could not educate her beyond class 10. Post her marriage, her husband's meagre income as a whitewash contractor made it very difficult for them to make two ends meet, completely eliminating her chances of completing her education.
However, Gayatri was determined to improve her and her family's situation. She attended various engagement drives conducted by KHUSHII. On one such drive, she came to know about the General Attendant Duty course offered by KHUSHII which provided good employment opportunities. With her hopes held high, she joined the course and worked hard to complete it. Post completion of her training, she promptly landed a job as a general duty attendant at Vinayak Hospital.
Gayatri's salary more than doubled their family income, bringing about significant improvements in their lifestyle. Besides financial independence, the job has also given her a sense of empowerment and equality. Giving her the strength and confidence to share the family responsibilities with her husband. Further propelling her dream to create a better future for her children and family.
